Cerrone: ‘UFC Fined Me A lot For Honoring Grandma, And They Can Do It Again’

Donald Cerrone is a mixed martial arts veteran. Consequently, “Cowboy” has seen and done just about everything inside the octagon. Back at UFC on FOX 17, however, the fighting phenom was docked for something outside of the cage.

Back at UFC on FOX 17, Donald Cerrone wore a small patch on his fight shorts. As the UFC is in a uniform deal with sports apparel company Reebok, Cerrone was fined for the incident.

The patch was made from old trunks crafted by his own grandmother. The fighter has worn the patch to each of his previous fights.

The amount “Cowboy” was fined was never revealed. However, the fighter later took to social media to claim that it was a large amount. Despite the fine, Cerrone said he would continue to use the patch in honor of his grandmother.
