UFC superstar Conor McGregor accused upcoming opponent Khabib Nurmagomedov and the fighter’s father of having connections to controversial Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov. Now it would appear that a member of the Chechen government has come forward with a statement concerning the matter.

During the recent UFC 229 press conference in New York, Conor McGregor accused Khabib Nurmagomedov and the Dagestan native’s father of having connections to the controversial figure. As reported by Bloody Elbow’s Karim Zidan, Chechnya’s Minister of Press & National Policy Dzhambulat Umarov referred to Conor McGregor as a “Mexican c*ck” that behaves like an “outrageous clown.”
