Phil Brooks made a name for himself within the world of professional wrestling before ever stepping inside the octagon. That being said, it would appear that Brooks has no interest in returning to his old stomping grounds.
Better known by his WWE moniker CM Punk, Phil Brooks quickly gained attention as a WWE superstar during his time as a professional wrestler. However, Brooks has since decided to try other ventures.
Among them, Brooks was dealt two lopsided defeats inside the octagon as a mixed martial artist. Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Phil Brooks revealed that he has no intentions of returning to the world of pro-wrestling.
“No because that’s like an escape hatch…There’s just nothing that interests me in wrestling.” Brooks said.
