Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick first drew controversy when the football player elected to kneel during the National Anthem prior to an NFL game back in 2016 as a sign of protest. Since Nike’s recent decision to feature the player in an add campaign, the sports apparel company has been drawing some serious controversy.
Taking to Twitter, interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington has decided to offer his thoughts on the matter. Check it out below.
“I grew up in Oregon and was around @Nike my whole life. It’s funny watching a company that uses child slave labor overseas to make their products all of a sudden become humanitarians. #PatTillman is an NFL/American Hero. @Kaepernick7 is just a spineless sack of sh*t. #NikeBoycott”
