Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov are bound to battle it out for the UFC lightweight title on Saturday, Oct. 6, for UFC 229’s live pay-per-view. In promotion for the fight, the two world-class mixed martial artists swapped some trash-talking in the first press conference for the event on Sept. 20 in New York.
During the event, “Notorious” was loud, aggressive and intense in his speeches. Meanwhile, Khabib Nurmagomedov was far more quiet during the conference.
Speaking to media after the event, UFC President Dana White revealed that he believes Conor McGregor got into his head with his trash-talking.
“Yes. You’re not human if that doesn’t affect you. It’s impossible for that not to affect you. And, Conor knows that. Conor came in and did what Conor does.”
