Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has reportedly refused to do media for his upcoming match up against UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. That being said, UFC President Dana White has now come forward to reveal that a pair of conferences have been planned to promote the event.
Conor McGregor is set to take on the Dagestan native in the main event of UFC 229. The event will take place Oct. 6, live on pay-per-view.
Speaking to TSN’s Aaron Bronsteter, UFC President Dana White has since revealed that the UFC is planning to deliver two different press conferences in promotion for UFC 229.
“There’s going to be a couple of press conferences. That’ll all be announced after this fight. We’ll do this fight and then we’ll announce all the stuff that’s going on with Conor and Khabib. Nothing like [the MayMac World Tour]. There won’t be any … we should have, but there won’t be enough time.”
“These guys, first of all this is the toughest fight of both of their careers and these guys need time to train and get ready for this fight. It’s a month away. But we’re gonna have some good stuff for the press and for the fans.”
