The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is currently preparing for one of the year’s most highly anticipated fight cards. With that in mind, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion has now come forward with details on the plans concerning the upcoming fight week.
UFC 229 is set to take place Oct. 6, live on pay-per-view. From within the illustrious T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., Conor McGregor will be headlining the night’s event in a title fight against undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The two fighters hosted a press conference earlier this month in New York. As reported by MMA Fighting, the two fighters are now set to join the co-main event competitors for open workouts on Wednesday, Oct. 3., from within the Park Theater in Las Vegas, Nev.
On Oct. 4, the promotion will host a second press conference within the Park Theater that will feature Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Finally, ceremonial weigh-ins will be held for UFC 229 on Friday, Oct. 5, from within the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
