Winner of the inaugural season of The Ultimate Fighter, Diego Sanchez is certainly a mixed martial arts veteran. Now it would appear that the talented fighter is setting his sights on the potential new UFC division.
UFC superstar Nate Diaz and tough lightweight contender Dustin Poirier are set to fight at UFC 230. The two competitors each recently took to social media to declare that, rather than fighting in the scheduled co-main event, they will be headlining the event in a fighter for the inaugural 165 pound division title.
The UFC has yet to officially announce the existence of the 165 division. However, Diaz and Poirier seem quite certain of the title fight.
“Its been a long journey but here we are. NYC 1st ever 165lb Title in the UFC! #THEREWILLBEBLOOD #THUGJITSU”
