UFC superstar Nate Diaz recently fired off at upcoming opponent Dustin Poirier. Now the lightweight contender has fired back with a response.
Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier were initially set to fight in the co-main event of UFC 230. The event is set to take place Nov. 3, live on pay-per-view.
While the fight has not been officially altered, Nate Diaz would later take to social media to declare that he and Poirier are now headlining the night’s card for the inaugural 165 pound world title.
“I’m Happy to announce that I’m bringing a new weight devision to the Ufc I’ll be fighting the main event November 3rd in nyc against Dustin Poirier for the first ever 165lb belt superfighter devision I’m happy to be apart of history @ufc @danawhite”

However, UFC President Dana White later came forward to reveal that there is no 165 pound division currently being created within the UFC. Furthermore, the UFC exec. explained that the promotion has yet to determine a main event for UFC 230. Consequently, Diaz and Poirier are still set to fight in the night’s co-headliner.
However, Nate Diaz has since taken to Twitter to claim that he is leaving the sport and will be back next year as Dustin Poirier allegedly has no interest in fighting him at 165 pounds.
“Ufc just told me that Dustin doesn’t want to fight at 165lbs I b bak next year”
