Former UFC Champion Renan Barao Loses In Brazil

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is hosting a stunning night of fights tonight. With the exciting fight card now underway, the time has come for fight fans to check out the UFC results.

UFC Fight Night 137 is going down tonight, Sept. 22, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Kicking off the night’s FS1 live broadcast main card, former bantamweight champion Renan Barao and Andre Ewell are throwing down for the Sao Paulo crowd.

Renan Barao missed weight for this match up by over five pounds. That being said, the talented former title holder was not holding back in the beginning of the first round.

Ewell rocked the former champion early in the fight, but Barao made it back to his feet quickly and managed to take his opponent to the canvas. From the dominant position, Barao began pummeling Ewell with some tough ground and pound.

The second round went down at a more methodical pace, as Ewell seemingly had no interest in exposing himself to a vulnerable position for a takedown. Meanwhile, Barao was still recovering from getting rocked in the first five minutes of their fight.

Barao was clearly gassed in the final round. Meanwhile, Ewell picked up the pace and began to punish his opponent with some damaging strikes. This was a strong round for Ewell.
