The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in Dallas, Texas tonight for the latest fight card from the promotion. With that in mind, the time has come to take a look at the UFC results for the first bout from the night’s event.
The highly anticipated fight card for UFC 228 is going down this Saturday, Sept. 8, from within the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. The fight card is kicking off live on the UFC’s proprietary streaming service UFC Fight Pass with a flyweight match up between Jarred Brooks and Roberto Sanchez.
Sanchez get his opponent to the canvas early in the first round. However, Jarred Brooks retaliated by locking in heel hook submission attempt.
Sanchez managed to escape the position before making it back to his feet and pressuring Brooks into the fence. Ultimately, this was seemingly a good round for Sanchez.
Jarred Brooks returned the favor in round two. The fighter pressured Sanchez against the fence, leading to Sanchez pulling guard on his opponent.
Brooks then maintained control over the fighter from the dominant position on the ground for a majority of the round. This was a solid round for Brooks.
The final round was a tough one. Brooks and Sanchez battled it out on the canvas once again, with Brooks dishing out some powerful ground and pound. In the end, this one went the distance.
