The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has yet to lock down a main event for UFC 230. With the highly anticipated fight card now drawing closer, longtime UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan has come forward with a hint concerning the matter.
UFC 230 is set to take place Nov. 3 from within the illustrious Madison Square Garden in New York. The live pay-per-view event will feature UFC superstar Nate Diaz’s massive octagon return as he faces off against tough UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier in the night’s co-headliner.
Rumors have since sprouted that former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones’ big octagon return is being targeted for UFC 230’s main event. Of course, Jones is still awaiting USADA’s verdict from his UFC 214 failed drug test.
Speaking on the recent live UFC 228 broadcast, UFC color-commentator Joe Rogan revealed that he may know what the promotion is planning for the event’s headliner. Hinting that the reveal will be big news, Rogan has only added to the rumor that Jon Jones may potentially be making a quick octagon return.
“The card is not finalized yet, ladies and gentleman.” Rogan said. “I know some things you don’t know. Hold your breath.”
