UFC megastar Conor McGregor will be challenging Khabib Nurmagomedov for his UFC lightweight title on Oct. 6 for UFC 229’s live pay-per-view main event. That being said, the Ireland native has been getting into a heated trash-talking war with Nurmagomedov’s father as of late.
Taking to Instagram, “Notorious” first made headlines for firing a heated message at Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov for posting a photo of himself with controversial Chechen Republic leader Ramzan Kadyrov.
“@abdulmanap.nurmagomedov I can see you. Cowering behind fake respect. Just like your middle child. A quivering coward.”
“Notorious” then reiterated his remarks at the UFC 229 press conference that was held in New York on Thursday, Sept. 20, sparking a response from the UFC lightweight champion’s father. Taking to the same social media platform, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov has since come forward with a new statement in response to the matter. Check it out below.
“You’ve seen McGregor’s comment about our meeting, here it is on Mount Arafat. Ramzan Akhmatovich came to learn about the problems and congratulated all Muslims. Let The Most High be his Judge.”
