UFC megastar Conor McGregor was recorded on camera allegedly attacking a UFC charter bus back on April 5. Now it would appear that bus passenger and UFC lightweight Michael Chiesa is suing the Ireland native over the matter.
UFC’s Khabib Nurmagomedov had an altercation with Conor McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov days beforehand. Consequently, “Notorious” escorted a large crowd of individuals backstage of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
There, McGregor was spotted on camera throwing a hand truck through one a window of the UFC charter bus that remained parked in the Barclays Center loading dock. Multiple buss passengers were injured in the fracas.
Among them, UFC’s Ray Borg and Michael Chiesa sustained minor injuries and were each forced to pull out of their upcoming bouts over the matter. Now TMZ Sports has reported that Michael Chiesa is filing litigation against Conor McGregor for allegedly causing “severe emotional distress, mental trauma and/or bodily harm.”
Chiesa is suing McGregor for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. For failing “to engage in proper security measures to protect the plaintiff and other patrons,” Chiesa is also suing the Barclays Center.
