UFC superstar Nate Diaz was initially set to make his octagon return at UFC 230. Now, however, it would appear that the Stockton native may have other plans.
Nate Diaz was originally scheduled to fight UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier in the co-main event of UFC 230’s live pay-per-view card on Nov. 3 from Madison Square Garden in New York. The Stockton native later took to social media to declare that he was no longer competing in the co-main event. Rather, Diaz claimed he is now headlining UFC 230 against Poirier for the inaugural, yet to be officially announced, 165 pound world title.

UFC President Dana White has since come forward to deny the existence of a 165 pound UFC division or any future plans to implement the weight class. Dana White also claimed that the promotion is still looking for a headliner for UFC 230, despite tickets for the event having already gone on sale.
Now taking to Twitter, Nate Diaz has come forward to claim that Dustin Poirier does not want to fight him at 165 pounds and that he will return next year. Check it out below.
