UFC superstar Nate Diaz has sparked a conversation within the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Now the Stockton native has returned to social media with a new message for the promotion.
Nate Diaz is set to make his massive octagon return in the co-main event of UFC 230 on Nov. 3, live on pay-per-view. Diaz will face Dustin Poirier for the highly anticipated match up.
The Stockton native has since taken to social media to declare that he has taken the UFC 230 main event slot in a fight for the inaugural 165 pound world title.
“I’m Happy to announce that I’m bringing a new weight devision to the Ufc I’ll be fighting the main event November 3rd in nyc against Dustin Poirier for the first ever 165lb belt superfighter devision I’m happy to be apart of history @ufc @danawhite”

UFC President Dana White, however, later came forward to squash the claim and confirm that the UFC currently has no plans to implement a 165 pound division and that the promotion is still looking for a UFC 230 headliner. Now Nate Diaz has come forward over Twitter to tell the promotion and Dana White to not be afraid.
