Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has not competed inside the octagon since back in 2016. Now set to make his massive octagon return, “Notorious” has reportedly been turning down media obligations ahead of the fight. Now it would appear that the first press conference for the event will not be open to the public.
Conor McGregor is set to fight undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in the live pay-per-view main event of UFC 229 on Oct. 6. UFC President Dana White has since revealed that two press conferences will be held in promotion for the event.
The first press conference has since been announced for Sept. 20 from within the Radio City Music Hall in New York. Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Dana White will all be in attendance.
It has since been reported by ESPN’s Chamatkar Sandhu that the event will be closed to the public. Only media will be permitted to the event.
