The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is currently gearing up for another exciting night of fights. That being said, it would appear the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion has now lost the headliner for the weekend’s upcoming fight card.
The highly exciting fight card for UFC Fight Night 137 is set to take place this Saturday, Sept. 22, from within the Ginásio do Ibirapuera for the UFC’s big return to São Paulo, Brazil.
Initially set to headline the night’s card, UFC light heavyweight knockout artist Jimi Manuwa was set to face off against Thiago Santos. However, ESPN’s Ariel Helwani has since reported that Jimi Manuwa has been pulled from the match up due to an injury.
After landing in Brazil, Manuwa reportedly went for a run. During the exercise, the fighter suffered a severe tear in his hamstring.
