At only 22-years-old, UFC welterweight Sage Nothcutt has put on a stunning performance in his budding mixed martial arts career. Now it would appear that the talented fighter is testing out free agency.
As previously reported, Sage Northcutt finished out his contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) back at UFC Fight Night 133.
Northcutt put on a dominant performance in the match up, ultimately earning a second round knockout victory over Zak Ottow that put the fighter on a three fight winning streak. Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, noting the alleged massive pay increase fighters such as Rory MacDonald and Lyoto Machida received after moving to Bellator MMA, Sage Northcutt has since revealed that he is now a free agent and is therefore no longer signed to the UFC.
