Eddie Alvarez is a mixed martial arts veteran that has faced some of the toughest and most talented fighters within the sport. A former Bellator and UFC lightweight champion, the fighter has done it all.
Alvarez recently finished his fight contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and then elected to try out free agency. Since then, rumors have begun to spread that the former title holder is considering moving back to Bellator MMA.
Speaking to MMA Fighting, Bellator President Scott Coker has since come forward to claim that it is unlikely Eddie Alvarez will return to Bellator MMA>
“It doesn’t seem likely at this point.”
“I think that they had a conversation with Eddie and I’m not sure where it’s at. But I don’t think it took a second, it wasn’t like it was something that was picking up any steam so I’m not sure.”
