The moment has finally come. Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov have met face to face ahead of their highly anticipated octagon war.
Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has not competed inside the octagon for two years. Now, however, the MMA megastar is set to make his massive octagon return against undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The two world-class mixed martial artists will battle it out for the main event of UFC 229. The event will tale place Oct. 6, live on pay-per-view from within the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
In promotion for the fight, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) delivered a UFC 229 press conference from within the Radio City Music Hall in New York on Thursday, Sept. 20. The event was closed to the public, but streamed live across the internet and in Times Square.
During the conference, McGregor and Nurmagomedov finally squared off for a staredown in promotion of the upcoming match up. The two fighters quickly began arguing. Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz was then asked to leave the arena after the manager began antagonizing “Notorious.” Nurmagomedov walked off of the stage shortly after.
