Thiago Alves Loses In Today's UFC Russia Main Card Opener

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is making its big debut in Moscow, Russia today. With the exciting fight card now going down, the time has come to take a look at the UFC results from the exciting match up.

The highly anticipated fight card for UFC Fight Night 136 is taking place within the Olimplyskiy Stadium in Moscow, Russia today, Sept. 15. Kicking off the day’s live UFC Fight Pass main card, welterweights Alexey Kunchenko and Thiago Alves are now throwing down for the Moscow crowd.

The first round was largely uneventful, as both fighters began to gauge each other’s range and power. This will be a hard round for the judges.

The second round was much of the same. Thiago Alves began landing more of his famous leg kicks on his opponent, but Kunchenko continued to push the pace.

In the final round, Kunchenko began teeing off on his opponent. Alves was dropped in the final round, but made it back to his feet. Still, the UFC veteran was unable to keep up with the pace of Kunchenko.

This one has gone the distance.
