It’s been a rocky road for UFC president Dana White and UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, and last week’s UFC 228 lead up didn’t help the relationship any.
Instead of getting behind his champion, Dana White hoped to capture a nation on the back of Darren Till and clearly favored the young English fighter leading into fight night.
After Woodley defended his belt, the UFC boss looked a little aggravated having to place it on his champion, and apparently they didn’t even speak afterwords.
As reported by Jedi Goodman:
Woodley answering Ariel on how to fix his relationship with the promoter: Just keep winning. That’s all I gotta do is keep winning.
Ariel: What did he (Dana) say to you afterwards?
Woodley: I didn’t speak to him. I just won. That’s what champions do. They win, right?
