The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has struck a deal with sports broadcasting giant ESPN for over $1.5 billion. Starting in 2019, the UFC will no longer be seen on FOX. Rather, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion has granted its broadcast rights to ESPN.
With UFC on FOX reporters Karyn Bryant and Megan Olivi having covered UFC events to many fight fans’ delight, many are curious as two where the two reporters will go after the end of the UFC’s deal with FOX. As reported by MMA Junkie, Karyn Bryant and Megan Olivi are both now set to cover NFL games for the FOX broadcast.
“I am beyond excited to join the NFL on FOX team,” Bryant said. “My dad used to coach Pop Warner (football), and I’ve loved the game since the days I stood on the sidelines with him as a kid. I am from New England, so I know a few things about great football. I’m looking forward to getting out from behind the anchor desk and onto the gridiron.”
“I’m thrilled to be working on the NFL sidelines this season,” Olivi added. “It’s an exciting new opportunity in my sports reporting career. As a lifelong football fan, I’m honored to have the chance to be a part of the FOX NFL broadcast team.”
