Former interim UFC welterweight champion Colby Covington has yet to earn a shot at the UFC belt. That being said, the talented mixed martial artist is already hyping up the possible match up.
UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley faced off against Darren Till in the main event of UFC 228 on Saturday, Sept. 8. As Colby Covington was not available for the match up, the fighter was stripped of his interim title at the beginning of the bout.
Woodley put on a dominant performance over Darren Till, ultimately earning a second round submission victory. Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Colby Covington went on to claim that his potential fight against Tyron Woodley will be larger that Conor McGregor’s upcoming match up against undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
