The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) decided to freeze UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov’s $2 million payday following the fracas that broke out at UFC 229. Nurmagomedov leaped out of the octagon after submitting Conor McGregor and sparked a massive brawl, all in live pay-per-view.
One of Nurmagomedov’s teammates have since been banned from the UFC for having allegedly attacked Conor McGregor during the incident. The UFC lightweight title holder has since claimed that he will leave the promotion if his teammate is not reinstated.
Hip-hop icon 50 Cent, having recently landed a partnership deal with competing promotion Bellator MMA, has since offered Khabib Nurmagomedov $2 million to sign with Bellator.
“I think it’s wrong what the UFC is doing to Khabib, they didn’t do the same thing to McGregor. I’ll pay 2 million cash tonight if he will fight for me at Bellator.”
