The highly anticipated fight card for UFC Fight Night 138 is going down inside the octagon tonight for fight fans around the world. Headlining the night’s card live on FOX Sports 1, former UFC light heavyweight title challenger Volkan Oezdemir is taking on tough division contender Anthony Smith.
Smith opened the fight landing a takedown on Oezdemir. However, Oezdemir managed to get back to his feet and land some power shots on his opponent.
Smith began pouring on the pressure in the second round, as the fighter began piecing up Oezdemir with some tough shots. However, Oezdemir managed to get his opponent to the canvas. From there, Oezdemir put on a dominant performance with over half a round of brutal ground and pound. This was a strong round for the former title challenger.
Anthony Smith came back with a vengeance in the third round. Taking Oezdemir to the canvas, Smith managed to get his opponent’s back and sink in a rear-naked choke submission. Making the former title challenger tap, Anthony Smith earned a massive submission victory.
