SBG Ireland’s Artem Lobov, teammate to mixed martial arts megastar Conor McGregor, was initially set to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov’s teammate Zubaira Tukhugov at UFC Fight Night 138. However, the bout has since been removed.
Khabib Nurmagomedov faced off against Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 229 on Saturday. After submitting the Ireland native, Nurmagomedov leaped out of the octagon and attacked a teammate of “Notorious. From there, a fracas broke out among the fight camps of the two competitors.
During the brawl, Zubaira Tukhugov allegedly leaped into the octagon and attacked Conor McGregor. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has since banned Tukhugov from competing within the promotion.
Consequently, Lobov vs. Tukhugov has been removed from UFC Fight Night 138. Taking to Twitter, Artem Lobov has now come forward to plead to UFC President Dana White to reinstate Tukhugov so that they may fight on the card.
