UFC megastar Conor McGregor was dropped in the second round of his title fight against UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov on Saturday, Oct. 6. The reigning champion followed up on the stunning right hand with some vicious ground pound.
“Notorious” managed to weather the storm, but still ultimately faced a submission loss in the fourth round. Cage side, former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz was commentating along side Joe Rogan and Jon Anik.
Speaking on his podcast Believe You Me, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping has now come forward with his thoughts on Dominick Cruz’s commentary of the fight.
“I’m not trying to throw Dominick Cruz or insult Dominick Cruz, but we are going to have a fun discussion about this.” Bisping said.
“Dominick was saying Conor’s gameplan was to let Khabib punch himself out.” Bisping later continued. “Listen, nobody chooses a gameplan of ‘I’m going to lie on back, let you punch me in the face as many times as you like, wait for you to get tires and then beat you up.”
