It would appear that the highly anticipated fight card for UFC 230 now has a new headliner. This time around, two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier will be returning to the octagon to defend his heavyweight title.
UFC 230 is set to go down Nov. 3 from within the Madison Square Garden in New York. The live pay-per-view event originally had tickets go on sale without a main event having been chosen for the fight card.
Valentina Shevchenko and Sijara Eubanks were later chosen to fight for the vacant UFC women’s flyweight title in the night’s headliner. However, ESPN’s Brett Okamoto has since come forward to report that UFC President Dana White has confirmed that the fight card has a new main event. Daniel Cormier will now be defending his UFC heavyweight title from Derrick Lewis.
