UFC megastar Conor McGregor is now just days away from his long awaited return to the octagon. With that in mind, the fighter’s agent has now come forward with some details on the Ireland native’s new fight contract with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
“Notorious” has now competed inside the octagon since back in 2016. Now, however, Conor McGregor is set to challenge Khabib Nurmagomedov for the UFC lightweight title in the live pay-per-view main event of UFC 229 on Oct. 6.
Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Conor McGregor recently revealed that the new six fight contract he has signed with the UFC is worth a massive eight figures.
“The deal I’m on now, it’s breathtaking what we have achieved. It’s a tasty, tasty, record-breaking deal. It’s give or take [nine figures]. The Mayweather [fight] was nine figures but we’re almost there. It’s a good, solid eight figures, halfway there. We’re very happy with the deal.”
Now Conor McGregor’s agent Audie Attar has come forward with a few words on the deal in an interview with MMA Fighting.
“This was a record breaking deal. It was very, very lucrative from a cash component and obviously from an earn out component and obviously incorporating our business in “Proper 12,” that was huge too. It has never been done.”
