Undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov had a less than positive reception at the recent UFC 229 open workouts. Now new footage from the incident has been revealed.
NUrmagomedov is set to fight Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 229 on Saturday, Oct. 6. The fight will take place live on pay-per-view from within the illustrious T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev.
In promotion for the event, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted open workouts on Wednesday. Conor McGregor’s fight fans showed up in force, as Khabib Nurmagomedov was almost immediately met with boos.
Nurmagomedov then began yelling at the Ireland native’s fight fans and asking them what happened to their language, perhaps referencing England’s imperialism of Ireland. The fighter attempted to win the crowd over, but ultimately thanked the few fans that were not booing him and ended his portion of the open workouts.
