UFC lightweight contender Dustin Poirier was initially set to welcome UFC superstar Nate Diaz back inside the octagon at UFC 230. However, the fight has since been cancelled.
UFC 230 is set to take place within Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday, Nov. 3. The event will be featured live on pay-per-view for fight fans around the world.
Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier were initially set to fight in the night’s co-main event. However, Poirier later pulled out of the match up after suffering an injury.
Taking to Twitter, the talented fighter has now come forward with a few words over the situation. Check it out below.
“Small setbacks happen.. I’m flying out to LA next week to get a second opinion on my injury and I’ll have an idea of when I can return to compete, I can’t wait to get back in the Octagon!! Thank you all for the support”
