Following Drug Test Failure, UFC 229 Loses Fight On Just Days Notice

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is currently gearing up for one of the year’s most highly anticipated match ups. That being said, the promotion will have to do so without the night’s featured preliminary card match up.

UFC bantamweight Sean O’Malley was initially set to face off against Jose Quiñonez in the featured preliminary match up of UFC 229. However, O’Malley has since taken to social media to reveal that he has since failed a drug test and has been consequently pulled from the upcoming fight.

UFC 229 is set to take place this Saturday, Nov. 3, from within the illustrious T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Headlining the night’s event, UFC megastar Conor McGregor will be making his massive octagon return against undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
