Former two-division UFC champion Georges St-Pierre has not competed inside the octagon since vacating his middleweight title. Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, St-Pierre revealed that he is now interested in facing undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
“I always say that the thing that excites me the most is when I could be the first to do something, you know? When something can’t be done and people doubt me or say it’s impossible to do or you can never do it.”
“He’s a great champion and in terms of legacy. I can’t think of a better man, a fighter right now who has a better legacy than Khabib in terms of popularity and legacy. If you look at the real fighters, not only as to who sells the most, but in terms of who’s the real pound-for-pound fighter, I think he ranks right up there.”
