Sijara Eubanks and Valentina Shevchenko were once set to fight for the vacant UFC women’s flyweight title in the main event of UFC 230. The fight has since been cancelled, as Daniel Cormier and Derrick Lewis are now headlining the card.
Before the fight cancellation, however, cage side UFC commentator Joe Rogan claimed he had no idea who Sijara Eubanks is when the fight was initially announced. Speaking on his Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rogan said “No offense, but I don’t even know who Sijara Eubanks is, and I’m the commentator for the UFC.”
Speaking on a recent edition of The MMA Hour, Sijara Eubanks has since come forward to reveal that she plans on having a few words with the commentator next time she sees him.
“I tweeted him but he didn’t tweet back. Joe knows who I am, he knows who I was before I said it. He didn’t have to say that on his blog. I thought it was disrespectful.”
“Me and Joe, I am not happy with Joe Rogan. He can’t avoid interviewing me one day. One day he is going to find himself with me in the cage with the mic and I am going to let him know exactly how I feel.”
