Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones failed a drug test for UFC 214. Consequently, the former title holder was dealt a 15-month suspension from the octagon.
Jones will be eligible to compete once again on Oct. 28, 2018. Speaking to ESPN, Jon Jones has since revealed that he has been offered a fight against former opponent Alexander Gustafsson for the UFC light heavyweight title at UFC 232.
“As of right now, that’s something that is on the table and we are in talks, but it looks like I will be.” Jones said, when asked if he is fighting Alexander Gustafsson at the event. “Nothing is signed on my end yet. That would be for the light heavyweight championship.”
UFC 232 will take place Dec. 29 from within the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. The event will be featured live on pay-per-view.
