Undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov faced off against mixed martial arts megastar Conor McGregor on Saturday, Oct. 6. The two world-class mixed martial artists went toe-to-toe for the live pay-per-view main event of UFC 229 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Nurmagomedov put on a dominant performance over the former two-division champion, ultimately earning a fourth round submission victory. Directly after the fight, Nurmagomedov leaped out of the octagon and attacked Conor McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis.
Speaking to media in Nurmagomedov’s native Dagestan, the UFC champion’s father recently revealed that the general climate within the fighter’s home country appears to be acceptance following the recent events. Check it out below.
