The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in Moncton, Canada tonight to host the latest mixed martial arts event from the famous promotion. With the fight card now underway, the time has come to take a look at the UFC results from the first match up to grace the octagon tonight.
UFC Results
The highly anticipated fight card for UFC Fight Night 138 is taking place within the Avenir Centre for the Moncton crowd. Kicking off the night’s UFC Fight Pass prelims, lightweights Stevie Ray and Jessie Ayari are throwing down for division dominance.
The first round floated on at a methodical pace. Neither fighter seemed interested in trading within an all out brawl. Rather, Ayari and Ray each took their time and picked their shots. Neither fighter was able to cause much damage before the sound of the bell.
Ayari began putting on the pressure early in the second round, but caught some powerful right hands from Ray in the process. Still, Ayari appeared to get the better of his opponent in the stand up for much of the round.
Ray returned in the final round with a vengeance, as the fighter began landing power shots on his opponent. Still, Ayari continued to walk down Ray and take his time. Ultimately, neither fighter was able to get a finish.
This one has gone the distance.
