Ahmad Wali Hotak holds a record of 7-1 in his mixed martial arts career. However, the Afghanistan native was recently the target of a vicious attack.
As reported by Tolo News, the fighter was attacked by at least five individuals on Sunday, Oct. 14. Hotak was shot in the stomach and stabbed in the head during the incident. As reported by MenaFN, Hotak believes the unidentified men were likely trying to kidnap him. However, the fighter resisted.
Hotak has since been hospitalized and is on the road to recovery. “I want to tell my fans that I will continue playing and serving the country until the last drop of blood in my body,” the fighter recently stated.
