Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is now nearing the end of his 15-month suspension from the octagon. With that in mind, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has now scheduled Jon Jones’ first official UFC appearance following the suspension.

Jon “Bones” Jones failed a drug test back at UFC 214. The United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) has since issues Jones a 15-month suspension over the matter. The former champion will once again be eligible to compete on Oct. 28, 2018.
Jones is now set to fight Alexander Gustafsson for the UFC light heavyweight title within the main event of UFC 232 on Dec. 29, as reigning champion Daniel Cormier is to be stripped at the beginning of the bout. The UFC has since announced that a press conference for the event will be held on Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. ET inside Madison Square Garden in New York.
Jon Jones, Alexander Gustafsson, Cris Cyborg and Amanda Nunes are expected to be in attendance.
