Opioid abuse is a rampant problem within the United States, one that has touched almost every home in some way. Now the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has decided to take measurements against the crisis.
President Donald Jump recently signed into law the SUPPORT For Patients And Communities Act, which is dedicated to aiding opioid treatment and recovery programs. As reported by the MMA Mania, the UFC now plans to begin a public service campaign to increase awareness of the issue.
“Opioid addiction does not discriminate,” UFC President Dana White stated. “Millions of Americans are impacted by this tragic crisis. UFC is committed to helping President Trump in the fight to end opioid abuse.”
