UFC 230 is taking place this Saturday for the New York crowd. Co-headlining the night’s live pay-per-view event, former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman is going toe-to-toe with tough division contender Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.

Chris Weidman rocked “Jacare” early in the first round, but Souza managed to recover and retaliate with some big shots of his own. This will be tough five minutes for the judges.

“Jacare” fired off in the second round with a vengeance, but suffered another devastating flurry of shots from the former champion. Still, Souza mixed up some stunning strikes of his own in the exchanges. Still, Weidman seemed to be getting the better of his opponent in the stand up.

The third round was a complete slugfest. Weidman picked up the pace, as Souza began to seemingly fade. However, Souza fired off a flurry of blows in the final minutes of the fight.

Dropping Weidman with a stunning shot, Souza earned a big win in New York.
