Undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is due at a hearing with the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) on Dec. 10. That being said, it would appear that the Dagestan native has no interest in appearing at the hearing.

Khabib Nurmagomedov submitted mixed martial arts megastar Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 229. Nurmagomedov quickly leaped out of the cage after the fact and attacked one of McGregor’s teammates.
The incident sparked a massive fracas between the two opposing fight camps, which all went down on what would become the highest selling live pay-per-view in UFC history. NSAC has since provisionally suspended both Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor while the investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
NSAC has since decided to withhold $1 million of Khabib Nurmagomedov’s $2 million fight purse and has scheduled a hearing for Nurmagomedov and McGregor on Dec. 10, 2018 to determine if either fighter should continue to be suspended or fined for the incident.
Khabib Nurmagomedov has since been traveling the world on a massive victory media tour. Speaking in a recent interview with a Turkish national news channel, Nurmagomedov revealed that he has no interest in attending the hearing. “The Eagle” also revealed that he is willing to let the commission take all of his fight purse and to suspend him for ten years over the matter.

“As you know, NSAC had an hearing before about that meele and they didnt decide. December 10, they will meet again. They want me to join the hearing also. But of course i will not go there. Why i should? I dont think i am guilty. Everybody saw what happened before and after the fight.
“I didn’t start that. I just finished what they started. They have to punish him who had started all. I am totally right in the situation. You have to be a criminal to be judged. I didn’t do anything bad. I protected my honor. Honor of my family, my country, my religion. This is maybe new for them, but its normal to me. If they think i am gonna join the hearing at Vegas, they are totally wrong. I will not go there. Its my idea.
“They can do it without me. If they want to punish me, they can get all the money i did from this fight and they can give me 10 years punishment, it doesn’t matter. They have to solve all this by themselves. I just did what had to be done like a man. I win fairly in the cage and after fight i showed them that this is not a game. They talked a lot and i made them pay. Everybody saw.”
