Sharice Davids is a former mixed martial artist. Now the former fighter has been elected to the U.S. Congress.
As reported by Vox, Davids beat out Republican Rep. Kevin Yoder on Tuesday within Kansas’s Third Congressional District. A former attorney as well as former fighter, Davids has become the first Native American woman and the first lesbian Native American to be elected into Congress.
