Grappling ace Mackenzie Dern made her long awaited UFC debut over the weekend. Following the big win, Dern has decided to come forward with a statement.
Mackenzie Dern first took over the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, becoming an ADCC champion and a No. 1 ranked IBJJF black belt before trying her hand at mixed martial arts. After kicking off her MMA career, Dern would go on to earn an impressive 5-0 record before locking down her debut inside the octagon.
The grappling phenom made her first UFC appearance at UFC 222, taking on Ashley Yoder in a battle for division dominance. The octagon war ultimately went the distance, with Dern earning a close split decision victory.
Taking to Instagram, Dern has now come forward with a response to her successful octagon debut.
