Mixed martial arts derived from a contention between different fighting styles. For centuries fighters have been concerned with which style is superior or more practical. This time around, a boxer decided to try his luck against a master of the ancient martial art Wing Chun.
Wing Chun largely gained fame from popular culture icon and martial arts legend Bruce Lee. Before forming his own art Jeet Kune Do, Lee was a practitioner of Wing Chun. Lee’s sifu Ip Man would go on to gain a famed reputation of his own for the teaching of the fighting style.
However, Wing Chun simply did not win out in this match up. Facing off against an amateur boxer that was only using one arm, this Wing Chun master suffered a brutal loss. Check it out in the video above.
