After a turn of unexpected events, UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway is now set to take on undefeated UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov for the undisputed lightweight title. With the fight now growing closer, betting odds for the match have been released.
The highly anticipated fight card of UFC 223 is set to go down April 7 inside the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Featured in the night’s main event, Tony Ferguson was initially set to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Ferguson has since torn his LCL following a freak accident at a recent media event. Stepping up on just six days notice, Holloway will be moving up in weight to challenge Nurmagomedov for the lightweight title.
Ferguson is set to be stripped of his interim belt and Conor McGregor of his undisputed belt as soon as the first punch is thrown in the night’s headliner. Consequently, Holloway and Nurmagomedov will be throwing down for the undisputed UFC lightweight championship.
MMA Odds Breaker has since reported Nurmagomedov as a -505 favorite and Holloway as a +365 underdog for the match up.
