Undefeated UFC welterweight Darren Till missed weight for his headlining spot at UFC Fight Night 130 by a staggering total of 3.5 pounds. With that in mind, fellow UFC welterweight Colby Covington has come forward with a heated message for the fighter.
Till hit the scales greatly overweight for his match up against Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson. Thompson has since accepted a catchweight bout against Till, but there are a few caveats.
Till will now be releasing 30 percent of his fight purse and is now required to make a second weigh-in at 1 p.m. GMT on Sunday. If Till weighs in heavier than 188 pounds, the fight will be cancelled.
If the fighter manages to make weight, then Till and Thompson will be set to headline the highly anticipated fight card of UFC Fight Night 130. The event takes place Sunday, May 27, inside the Echo Arena in Liverpool, England.
As seen within the video above, new footage has revealed that Till seemingly kept one foot off of the scale during his weigh-in. Taking to Twitter, Covington has decided to offer the fighter a heated message over the matter.
“I guess if you ain’t cheating you ain’t trying right Darrell? @darrentill2 You fat f**k. Back of the line junior”
