UFC women’s strawweight Claudia Gadelha is currently gearing up for her next big octagon performance. In a recent interview, the fighter decided to take a look back at her previous match up against Jessica Andrade. Gadelha offered some interesting points on the matter.
Claudia Gadelha went toe-to-toe with Jessica Andrade back at UFC Fight Night 117. The two mixed martial artists ultimately went the distance, with Andrade earning a unanimous decision victory over her opponent.
Speaking to MMA Junkie, Claudia Gadelha compared Jessica Andrade’s strength to that of a 125 pound male fighter. Gadelha never accused her opponent of taking performance enhancing drugs. However, the fighter did claim that it was like nothing she had ever experienced inside the octagon.
“Jessica is very, very strong. I was very surprised with her strength. I compare her to a 125 [pound] guy, when it comes to strength and power. I never felt that before. I think I’m better than her, technically, but she is just so much stronger.”
